California city, CA to Camp Nelson, CA

The ride from California City to Tehachapi was very painful because of the strong wind. Not very scenic either, guess what …lots wind farms!

Once we got past Caliente, the route became much more interesting.

The remaining part of the ride was very scenic, lake rivers and forest. There is unfortunately quite large area of burnt forest in the sequoia national park.

I still have some issue with the hard cases. I bought a hammer at the local Ace Hardware store in California City to fix the problem tonight…

Lake Isabella

We found one campground in the national forest that was just perfect for the night. Very quiet…I believe we were the only campers there.
