The ride from Arnold to Markleeville was quite spectacular. Nice lakes, forest roads and some higher elevation around 8000 feet to keep us cool. Just the perfect ride!

Lake Alpine

As we were approaching the lake Tahoe, and more specifically riding the 89 going north, the traffic became more dense. We stopped at several campground on the west coast but most were full for the night so after an hour of unsuccessful search we decided to go for a cabin in Tahoe Vista.
