A bit of maintenance

I was a bit undecided this morning about staying at the campground or going around Beaver creek in Canada for the night. Talking to a fellow rider who just came back from Beaver creek yesterday, he mentioned that there is really not much there to see. Haines Junction is a better place to hang out. Since I had some maintenance to do on the bike, I decided to stay another night in Tok and go straight to Haines Junction tomorrow morning. It’s a 300 miles ride so will probably take me 7 hours. I booked for 2 nights there at the Wanderer’s Inn backpackers hostel.

It’s been 41 days since I left Houston and so far it has been an amazing trip. Of course not everything went as per plan, but besides the unfortunate accident and some rainy days in British Columbia rides have been awesome, not to mention all the folks that you meet on your way.

Ok now it’s time for dinner…asparagus and Alaskan size pork chop (they seem very proud that Alaska is bigger than Texas!!)
