Had a nice chat last evening with a German couple that stopped at the campground for the night. They are on a 2 years trip from Deadhorse to Ushuaia. They had their bikes shipped to Tacoma, WA from Germany and they were now heading more south. Great folks.
I left Tok around 8am for Haines Junction, the Canadian border is only 90 miles from Tok at Beaver creek so I decided to ride straight there and have breakfast in Yukon.
The first two third of the ride was okay, not super scenic and the road had quite nice potholes, better watch where you are going…things get much more interesting around Kluane lake with spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding mountains and glaciers.
